God gives to us so that we may give to others. So let's give more purposefully.

Missing In Action

Wow. Time flies when life's circumstances rapidly change, doesn't it? I feel horrible with how long I've neglected this blog. I started with such a flame in my heart for it and I let that flame sizzle out these past few weeks. Sadly, I know exactly how it happened. I just got busy. Then when I realized I was so far behind, I started avoiding it. Oh I'm terrible that way. But, isn't that the way it always happens. We lose touch with friends, our clothes go out of style, our hair has grown out so bad we now are rocking a mullet. All because we get busy and focus on something else, not really even thinking about what we have put on hold to get other things done. It is amazing the things you can accomplish when you are completely focused. Well, I can tell you that I have been completely focused on other things. Putting our house on the market for one. That took a couple weeks of purging, preparing and plunging into a world of real estate oblivion. Thank God we found a great agent whose hard work has paid off with an offer already presented to the bank. Now we just wait. Wait. That's a weird way of living your life. Wait and see. Wait and focus. Wait and prepare for the next journey. Wait. Well, we're waiting. By golly, we're waiting.

Give purposefully. That's what I started with, but I didn't get too far. There were many companies I wanted to spotlight during this season and regretfully, I've run out of time to do all the ones I wanted to. But my whole purpose for this was to open eyes to the world out there in need and show you that you can do almost the same thing that you are doing now but with some purpose behind it. If I have opened just one persons eyes to this, then my job is done. Because if just one person does it then that's one more than before. And that is fine with me.

I've put a list of some companies, charities, missions, ideas, etc. so that if you are still searching for something for someone, then you might find your answer. I'll also be back to do some more spotlights.
